Stygian Puritania: prologue

     Throughout history, many scientific queries have pervaded the thoughts of many intellectual minds, some of trivial intelligence, others about the depths of faith and spirit - and most have been either augmented by radical forces, shrouded in ambiguity; others are left untouched, unable to be grasped by the myriad minds, tempted by their archaic charm, and left abandoned. Still, few yeild revolutionary results, fruits of scarce trees successfully harvested by societies; yet, there remains but one concept, a spectre that has always haunted even the most impervious of minds - and, most likely, will: morality, the esoteric code so volatile, it spawned the material realm from its womb.
     Such moral evolution has created, governed, and amended even the laws of the universe themselves! So unstable is this code as societies revolve around this force, worshipping, fighting, and even dying by its hand! Its esoteric aura has always been inpenetrable; due to its influence on minds, it may never be decoded. Yet, such bleak odds never discouraged anyone from trying to open the pandora's box, unleashing a war of epic porportions - a war designed to shroud morality in permenant secrecy.
     Even to this day, the war still rages on as civilizations, alien and human alike, mash with one another in the ultimate pit of butchery. And every soul fights - no "easy pass" here, Sally! Forget all you ever learned, your religious peity, your mathematical logic, you name it - it matters not, for it's open season - anything goes. Prepare yourself for a journey encompassing the entire universe's future as not a single soul will care for you!

This is a first draft of the prologue of Stygian Puritania . I was hoping to communicate a science fiction feel, and I hope I have done so here. However, this is only a first draft, so I may edit it if need be.
